Driving south out of Payson on SR 87 causes the imagination to go into overdrive.  Each place you pass brings to mind stories about people and events. So it goes all the way to Phoenix.  Other directions stimulate more images: north, east, west  and on and on.  The names and places carry with them fascinating stories that help us ex0plore the history of many Rim Country places.
