By Stanley C. Brown.

David Gowan was born in Scotland in 1840.  His desire for adventure eventually took him to the U.S. where he was one of the first to bring sheep to Arizona.  He settled in Arizona’s Rim Country where he eventually developed the land around Tonto Natural Bridge, the largest travertine bridge in the world and now an Arizona State Park.  This booklet details David’s efforts to develop a productive farm at the bridge and his family’s lasting impact on the area.  Sixteen pages plus notes.   This download expires in 24 hours.
